Welcome to our page!
Welcome to our Bundles of Bunnies Rabbitry webpage! My name is Brandy, my daughter and I strive to raise the best rabbits we can, in type, health, temperament, and personality. We have Mini Lops and Polish rabbits for show/brood or some for pet homes :) We only breed to attain the breed standard of perfection, health, type, and personality. Our pet rabbits will not be pedigreed and should not be bred. We try to educate so that our animals don't end up in shelters, please feel free to ask questions and read our pages, we have a lot of information here. We are not experts and are no more experienced than many others, there is a lot that may help you here so take a look around :) Feel free to visit our other website, Www.CoastalKittiesRagdolls.weebly.com (we have beautiful Ragdolls!!)
We started in rabbits after doing dog rescue for many years. I was showing horses and dogs in high school & beyond and have always been involved in animals. We had not intended to become a rabbit family but one of our dogs decided to bring us a newborn Cottontail kit (still with the umbilical cord attached and wet!) Needless to say, we learned a lot in that time frame. Yep, he/she lived, it was released on 160 acres of sanctuary land and that was the start of our bunny adventure! We learned quickly NOT to buy from most pet stores, we learned how to recognize good breeders vs bad breeders and ever since, our family has been very involved in the care, education and in all aspects of showing these wonderful animals. We also vowed to make sure we would do our best to respond to every person who writes/calls/contacts us as we were new too and found it frustrating not to be given any response all too often.
We've made lifelong friends in this hobby and find there is always something new to learn each day. There is far more to learn than one might imagine, most importantly, to have fun :)
We have a closed rabbitry. This means we don't invite people that we don't personally know over to tour or pick from litters. Most people have no clue as to what we're striving for or how hard we work to try and get there. Having a stranger over to our personal space is unsettling and we don't know where you've been, if you've been handling sick rabbits and then wanting to hold ours, or if you're an extremist who wants to "set them free" (our domesticated rabbits are not equipped to live in the wild), and that's because we don't know you. Of course, the majority of pet buyers are excellent, I'm just not risking my family's safety with the minority. Some people aren't used to seeing more than 1 rabbit at a time, and trying to explain gets a bit complicated. Basically, we spend more hours than you can imagine with them, we are their slaves and they get very good care. It's a hobby we're passionate about and excited everyday about working with them.
We have a small scale rabbitry compared to many but it's still a ton of work. If you're interested in buying a rabbit from us, I am more than happy to meet you at the Salisbury Petsmart to show you what may work for you with no pressure to buy and take time to answer any questions you may have.

Please read and agree to our Sales Policy before asking for/purchasing a bunny from us, it is important that you do this, thanks! :D
****We're located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland (near the beaches), not close to much but always willing to meet at shows we are attending and often other places too if we are headed that way :) *****

Very important to know.....our rabbits (and dogs and cats) are housed indoors with AC and LOTS of noise, and a smoke free environment. IF you are planning to house your rabbit(s) outside, please wait until much cooler weather, a transition from AC to outside is a recipe for heat stroke, which bunnies can have very easily and quickly, it is also VERY quiet outside. There are many ways to keep your bunny (ies) cooler on these hot days, for instance, many of us freeze 2 liter bottles and put them in their cages, this can help tremendously. Feel free to ask :) Many pet owners find that when they house them outdoors, they wind up forgotten about and not as friendly, we do not wish for that to happen to any of our wonderful bunnies.
^^Bundles of Bunnies Zeus, He is a Black Polish buck, this was as a junior at Christmas, such a cute little guy!!
